2010 Re-Cap |
The beautiful weather brought out more than 200 riders; double the number of riders from 2009! We have received a multitude of compliments from the riders about the event. This would not have been possible without the help of the volunteers, event sponsors, and donors.. The purpose of the Culpeper Cycling Century is a fundraiser to support the Culpeper Recreation Foundation with their current project of building concession stands with restrooms at the Culpeper Sports Complex. These concessions and restrooms will benefit the children of the community that play youth sports at the Culpeper Sport Complex. Planning is already under way for the 2011 event. We hope to make it even better! Below are pictures from 2010. |

Comments from 2010 riders: “The CCC was obviously professionally-planned by experienced bicycle folks. The routes allowed riders of all levels to enjoy success. There were plenty of 'flats' and loads of moderate 'climbs' and even some 'big stuff' if you wanted a challenge. The police presence was the thing I noticed most and appreciated at crossings and entries. My hat is off to them.” Doug |

“An absolutely wonderful experience! The route is challenging and exceptionally beautiful. The volunteers were friendly and helpful. I have been recommending to all my friends that they join me for this one next year.” Dave |
“I am looking forward to attending again next year because CCC has a great route: scenic roads and quiet roads, no traffic. Even getting back into town avoided the busy streets which is much appreciated.” Joe |
“Very nice scenic ride, on low traffic roads. Virginia is for Bike Lovers......” Dennis |
